Google’s just realised their dream of putting printer drivers in the cloud, as their Cloud Print service has now gone into beta. This means that you can print from any device, whether it’s a laptop, tablet or even mobile phone, to any printer – theoretically. Google’s ANGLE project, launched today, will allow their Chrome OS to be able to access graphics hardware using the OpenGL ES 2.0 API. What this means to you: 3D graphics in your browser!
It may be a case of semantics, but Digitimes is reporting that Acer – who we already know are desperate to be the first manufacturer with a Chrome OS netbook – will be launching “devices running Google’s Chrome OS in the middle of 2010″. So far, we’ve been hearing the end of the year for releases, but if there’s any chance to grab hold of a mid-2010 Chrome OS whisper, we’ll take it.
