Ghost in the Chair Design is Milky not Spooky
1:48AM Gizmodo US Edition | Designed to look like it’s almost not really there, this “Ghost Chair” puts me more in mind of milk poured into water. It’s pretty futuristic, in a curved-yet-straight, acrylic kind of way. It’s apparently the first in a line of chairs and stools from designers Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn that will use this novel technique. We don’t know if you’ll be able to buy them, though they’d certainly make a dining set that would be a conversation starter. Conversations like: “These chairs look like someone’s taken a glass of water and poured in …” It’s on display from the 16th to 21st April in the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Security Camera Captures Image of Ghost?
6:30AM Charlie White | A surveillance camera at a Parma, Ohio gas station caught some footage of what appeared to be a ghost last Sunday, and passersby were immediately calling the blue cloud an angel, attributing it to buried Indians from long ago, and evoking all sorts of supernatural beings. One guy might’ve had it right: Maybe it was a plastic bag. Could it have been an out-of-focus blue plastic bag dancing around with the wind like that one in the film American Beauty? Could an image artifact like this have been caused by a cheap security camera? In this video, it’s unclear whether people saw this “ghost” with their own eyes, or just watched a video of it.
