The PediSedate was designed for dentists, allowing them to distract kids with video games while they were drugged in prep for oral surgery. But hey, why limit it to dentists? You could use this to sedate children for any number of reasons! And with a name like PediSedate, you get all sorts of great ideas right off the bat. I’m so surprised this never caught on.
I wrote to you earlier regarding an urgent business transaction value at the sum of US$30.5m (Thirty Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars only) which will be benefiting to you and me, if only you can find this Gameboy iPhone case. I had one in my possession until the 29th April 1996 to date when the president of South Africa Mr. Thabo Mbeki betrayed my trust, took my virginity and robbed me of the beloved screen protector.

He has spent every day since pillaging the countryside and raping the chickens.

I do not know if you got my first Email or not but I need you to notify me if are you willing to work with me in this regards or not. You seem like a chaste, virtuous man or woman. Maybe when tragedy falls behind me, one can move forward, together.

The nearest miss is the dual-card DSi, apparently rejected for being a little too fat. Also shown was a 1998 Game Boy Advance SP touchscreen “concept” which never made it past the “let’s bolt a touchscreen on and see what happens” phase.

The most interesting not-quite in the whole presentation is the lard-assed Game Boy Advance predecessor from 1995, which was shelved for terrible performance and, well, the fatness. That’s a DS next to it, in case you were wondering.

According to website Kombo, at a Japanese Club Nintendo event, Nintendo confirmed that a Virtual Console would be coming to the DSi in Japan, bringing Gameboy and Gameboy Advance titles with it.

The move makes sense, as Nintendo isn’t selling Gameboy games on the Wii, while the DSi is being pushed far more into the online marketplace than the original DS (oh, and of course the DSi conveniently killed the GBA slot).

Apparently these games are region locked (ugh) and reports seem mixed as to whether or not the titles are savable to an SD card. But otherwise, like we said, the move makes sense. Just keep in mind that for whatever reason, Nintendo has not made it all official to the press yet, and a North American version may or may not be a long ways off.
