A few weeks ago we reported on the ridiculous $US160,000 Nikon 6mm f/2.8 fisheye lens up for sale in the UK. But with no images utilising the lens, we were left wondering what they might look like. Now we know and kinda wish we didn’t.
We’ve seen all manner of SLR trickery in the past, but Bhautik Josh has cobbled together a fisheye camera from a soft-drink can. Sounds totally MacGyver, but he’s put the steps up on his blog for you to try out.
This fisheye lens from Japanese company Digital King is absurdly bulky and not at all practical. So we sort of love it.
This Demekin Pocket Fisheye Camera is a tiny, foldable fisheye camera. Pretty awesome, right? But wait, it takes 110mm film? Yeah, thanks but no thanks. [Product Page]
Fisheye pictures can be cool sometimes. It looks like you’re looking through a peephole in a door! How neat! But to design a camera that can only take fisheye shots? Well, that seems a bit too gimmicky for me. If I want to take fisheye pictures, I can attach a fisheye lens. Otherwise, I want normal pictures. Yes, it’s shaped like a magnifying glass and that’s adorable, but again, it doesn’t look like it’d fit comfortably in my pocket with such an awkward shape. This is why it’s a concept, and will probably always be a concept. [Yanko Design via Crave]
