The Boba Fett re-design looks particularly good. Sillof decided to change the T visor in the helmet for rounded goggles, while keeping the rest almost intact:

While Fett’s “T” visor is iconic, this design keeps the look of the rounder goggles that have become a staple of the line, while the red strip down the middle hints at the old “T” design. His forearm weapons feature a mini-crossbow and a working retractable blade. The Surcoat is reminiscent of Fett’s shoulder cape. His rocketpack is still there just in a larger more industrial model.

Head to Sillof’s to see some of these in 360-degree rotating versions. The details are simply stunning. [Silof]

You know the little bastard who taunts you with his eyes, saying, “I know exactly how the rest of Lost unfolds, but you’re just going to have to wait for it piece by piece, you poor slobs.” To commemorate your slow, painful wait, JJ Abrams had these limited edition figurines made in a batch of 500. They’re giving away 3 of them at Comic-con this week, where they’ll be showing off a pilot of their new show, Fringe. What’s cool is that they prototyped these figures in house on the same 3D printer they designed the Cloverfield monster and the new Star Trek movie’s phasers on.

Nevertheless, He looks just as faithful to the movie version (left) as we could hope, and will drive Jesus wild when he unwraps him under his tree next Xmas. However, we do have a bit of a problem with his facial expression and the way he’s holding out his hands. Toys R Evil expresses it thusly:

They’ll take a snapshot of your toon wearing whatever armour you’ve got on now, so make sure you’ve got on epic gear before you make your order. If you’re a low-level character, we suggest trying to beg some armour off someone just for the sake of doing this, and returning it afterwards. Unfortunately WoW is so popular with 10% of the world’s population currently registered that you’ll have to sign up for drawing—you can’t just order directly. Or Mike), a few rocks left from Miss Purty Princess Danish Pastries’ adoptive planet or, my all-time favorite, the only good Ewok (is a Dead Dead Ewok.) And yes, while these toys are not real, the concepts are ripe for the making, hopefully including their made-up descriptions on the box:

The Planet Alderaan

It’s just a box of rocks… yes, it’s the Planet Alderaan. Post-destruction, the play value of this toy was somewhat diminished.

Or the one found in the Smouldering Moisture Farm Playset: “Re-create the moisture farm massacre—Luke’s aunt and uncle killed by Imperial Stormtroopers all over again!!! Burning corpses sold separately.” Evaporate that, Uncle Owen. One more thing, McMorran, the guy who did this? A genius. Fortunately for us, we only have to endure a tiny plastic version this time around. Indeed, someone had the good taste to develop an action figure immortalising Britney’s recent underwear mishaps for posterity. If you would like to add this fine product to your collection (and I know you do), it can be had for a mere $US39.95.
