There has been an explosion at one of factories of Pegatron Corp — a manufacturer of back panel parts for Apple’s iPad 2. The explosion has injured 57. Reuters is reporting that 23 has been hospitalised with burns.
That Foxconn explosion might make it harder to buy iPads after all. IHS iSuppli claims Apple may have to lower iPad production by 500,000 units. Another analyst thinks Apple could lose up to one million units.
