Nooks Come With $US50 B&N Gift Card Starting Today

From now until the end of June, all Nooks will come with a free $US50 Barnes & Noble gift card. That’s not quite three books, last time I checked B&N’s prices (last week when I wanted to buy a book but it was $US18 in their digital store and cheaper elsewhere).

After looking like they were gonna be late, then “oops, we sold out,” now Barnes & Noble says that at minimum, they won’t have Nooks—even to demo—in actual retail stores until Dec. 7 at the earliest, in order to fill pre-order demand. This is only gonna get more ridiculous, just watch. [WSJ]
