Beem Is An Online PVR With Social Network Connections

Remember last year when we told you about Juno interactive, the IPTV company launched by former NineMSN and former Yahoo!7 media kingpins Jimmy Storrier and David Morrison? Well their project Juno has had a name change and gone into a limited Beta for Sydneysiders. Now called Beem, it’s an online DVR for FTA TV with an emphasis on social networking.

You could already schedule new recordings and set up season passes on your TiVo from a browser, but now you can actually manage those season passes without having to trudge through TiVo’s onscreen menus.

Telstra’s Sold 100,000 T-Hubs And T-Boxes

Telstra today reported the company’s performance for the first couple of months of the 2010-2011 financial year, and one figure stood out from the rest: Apparently the Telco has sold around 100,000 T-Box IPTV DVRs and T-Hub fixed home phone tablet device since they launched in June and April.
