This modified M50 dual-computing laptop (there’s two computers in there sharing a battery) has two displays, one of which is 4.3-inches, and is actually a prototype that will be manufactured later this year.
HP is finally joining this weird, new multiple display party with the Voodoo DNA-ed Firefly, which carries a secondary screen, an oddly-placed multitouch trackpad and guts comparable to its powerful desktop counterpart.
It looks as though an Italian company named V12 Design might beat the OLPC’s XO-2 laptop to the dual touchscreen punch with their dual LCD laptop called the Canova. According to Laptopmag, V12 developed its design four years ago and is currently working on a second generation version with a US manufacturer. The plan is to have the device on the market within 16 months.
LG’s VX9100 flip phone, with a two keypad design—one dial, one QWERTY—has just been officially added to Verizon’s phone lineup. The 15mm deep device will have a QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera and up to 8GB of storage. [Akihabaranews]
