Verizon just started pushing Android 2.2 to HTC Incredible devices. Incredibles will get even incredilber with Flash 10.1, 720p video recording, and mobile hotspot capabilities. [Verizon]
BGR is reporting that the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible is going to receive a software update to Android 2.2 Froyo by the end of July or early August. Originally, there was going to be a minor update that would’ve brought 720p video recording to the Incredible, but it looks like that update will be rolled in with the bigger, much more tantalising Android 2.2 software update.
HTC’s Droid Incredible is soon to receive an update adding a couple of new features – most notably an upgrade to its video recording tool which adds support for saving movies at 720p resolution. The update also lets the Incredible function as a 3G mobile hotspot.
PCMag ran the Evo, the Droid X, the Incredible and the iPhone 4 through a gauntlet of tests to determine which really has best display. Here’s what DisplayMate President Dr Raymond Soneira has to say about the results.
iPhone 4, Droid Incredible, Evo 4G and Nexus One hardware all cost about the same. But this chart shows exactly how much each will put you out of pocket – data/voice included – over the course of a two year contract.
As incredible as the, err, HTC Incredible may be, there appears to be a pretty serious bug locked in the Sense UI which takes screenshots of the web browser’s content, storing them even after a factory reset is done.
We said it was the “best Android phone you can buy on Verizon” when we reviewed it, but if you insist on rooting it – now’s your time, courtesy of the guys at Unrevoked. [Unrevoked - Thanks, Max!]
