Dick Smith Advertising Fail: Will It Float?

8:35AM January 17, 2012 | Sam Biddle

Unless this is some sort of poetic retail conceptual art, which I doubt, this is probably the most botched product display of all time. Clearly, this “Unlocked Rugged Mobile” is simply bullshit, and doesn’t “float on water”. More »

Let’s hope you didn’t spend too much money on video games over Christmas – Dick Smith has 30 per cent off games under $50. There’s a pretty good lineup available for both PS3 and Xbox 360, with games starting from as little as $7 each. As far as I’m aware, this is the first time the Kindle will be available from a local retailer. Both versions of the graphite Kindle 3 are now up for pre-order: the 3G for $219, and Wi-Fi for $159 (shipping is free). That compares pretty well compared to getting it shipped from Amazon directly. Update: Also available Woolworths supermarkets. More »
