Ikea serves a purpose, sure, but I hate buying furniture out of necessity. More thought should go into your surroundings – but if you really can’t part with the Scandinavian furniture, at least consider Mykea’s fun decals.
As soon as I saw Billy Brown’s pixelated array of cameras the other week, I downloaded several and started using them as my OS X icons. I’m very tempted to buy the matching vinyl decals, but the international shipping makes them pretty pricey unfortunately.
It’s not the calculator your mum bought you in fifth grade, it’s an iPhone 4 case with a retro decal. The calculator doesn’t actually work (it’s not even three dimensional) but still pretty cool for $US19.50. [
Other iPhone 4 Polaroid skins were fine, but this one is far superior. Why? Because it offers a subtle reminder to turn your phone sideways when taking a photo. And it’s only $US7 (compared to $US15). [Laughing Squid]
We’re very tolerant here at Giz – if the thought of your iPhone 4 without its clothes on gets you excited, by all means! But it’s probably not very good for the phone. Slap on this exposed-guts back decal instead.
As you check Twitter on your iPhone 4, passersby will think you’re utterly insane, inspecting the back of the phone so intently. Little do they realise you’ve actually got an iOS 4 homescreen decal on the back… [Etsy via NerdApproved]
Just because this decal is obvious, it’s not less awesome. Actually, I really wish I could turn my MacBook into the real HAL 9000, Dave. [Etsy via Geeky Gadgets]
Available for the 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch MacBooks, this War Machine Decal is perfect for Jim Rhodes’ fans. Since I’m a Tony Stark wannabe, I’ll stick to the Iron Man decal and a morning screwdriver. [Etsy via GeekyGadgets]
Instead of buying this $US5 decal and pretending that your super sophisticated 21st century smartphone is an old Nintendo controller, why not pretend that you just happen to have a magical NES controller that can run apps and make phone calls?
These lovely Homer Simpson iPhone decals might be pictured on 3GSes, but I’m sure they’d look just as fun on an iPhone 4. $US10. [Etsy via NerdApproved]
