The gAtari is a “musical instrument” that basically consists of an Atari 2600 playing pre-programmed tunes hacked together with a few guitar effects processors. It’s kind of like an Atari keytar. The resulting music is scatterbrained weirdness that’s impossible to describe.
I’ll have to freely admit that I have never attended a ‘Chipmusic’ event and, being perfectly honest, I know very little about it — but I want to learn, and Blip Festival Australia, Australia’s first chipmusic festival, may be a good place to start.
