Windows Phone 7 owners who use their credit cards for app purchases may be in for a bit of a rude surprise when they get their next bill – despite charging in Australian dollars, Microsoft are processing the transactions in Singapore, meaning banks will be charging WP7 users international transaction fees.
Vodafone are the most global Telco Australia has, yet their global roaming rates have historically been obscenely high, just like their competitors. Today they’ve made a small dent to those charges by introducing standard local call charges for customers calling Australia from Singapore or New Zealand.

Back in March when Vodafone and Three refreshed their postpaid pricing, they introduced free Vodafone to Vodafone and Three to Three calls, but not from one to the other. According to Whirlpool, that all changed back on June 7, with some customers calls from Vodafone to Three being marked V23 and not actually costing them anything.
