You don’t know what happens on your desk when you are out of the office. What if your 4-port USB hub is carrying on a torrid affair with your Newton’s cradle? Well, the cat will be out of the bag if you show up to work one day and find a Boynq Swing USB hub sitting on your desk. Outside of the unique design, the Swing hub also features a DC power jack and surge protection for around US$24. [Buy.com (currently sold out) via Gadget Life via TRFJ via DVICE]
*Squeak* Hello. I’m Pixar’s famous Anglepoise lamp… yes, the one from the CGI film. *Squeak* I’m here to complain about this new Iris webcam from Boynq, which takes a few too many design cues from me and my fellow lamp kind. Look at it: it’s unmistakable isn’t it? As well as a VGA webcam, it’s got a 5W RMS speaker and an 8-LED light. Now, call me a drama queen but I think that’s taking things a bit too far.
If you are anything like me, the whole iPod dock thing is getting way, way old. However, one look at this stylish Boynq Wake Up iPod Dock Alarm Clock is (almost) enough to make you fall in love with iPod docks again. The Wake Up isn’t just a pretty face however, because it also features a 20-watt amp, a wireless remote that can be docked in place of your iPod, video out so you can play movies on the TV, and an FM radio. If you live in Europe you can get it now for around $185, but there is no word on whether or not those of us in the States will be able to do the same anytime soon. Also available in black. A company called Boynq (not to be confused with Benq) is releasing some interesting-looking iPod docks. If unfamiliar, an iPod dock is a stationary speaker that you can place your iPod in to allow it to play music in a room without headphones. Apparently they’re all the rage. Anyways, the first, seen above, is the Sabre Pour Homme. It looks like a ladies purse or something, which, while not up my alley, is sure to please some of your little sisters. The next is a bit more masculine: the iCube II, pictured after the jump. More »
We likes us some crispy crunchy toast slathered with creamy butter around here, so we were immediately attracted to this Toastit flash card reader from Boynq. The product’s site says it’s pour homme, which is fancy Frenchie talk meaning “for man,” and we can see why, because it has the word “tit” in it and it also mentions boinking, although they really need to learn how to spell that word.
Besides its attractive and evocative retro look, this little card reader can accommodate most flash cards, and will cost you a whole lot less than your average boinking, just $30. Too bad it doesn’t pop up the flash card once it’s finished burning its data within. But they’ve got to be kidding about that brand name, right? Boynq? – Charlie White

Looking for a pair of speakers to jazz up your desktop? Boynq’s new motion-sensitive Saturn could do the trick. The spherical speaker must be standing upright in order to pump out audio. To turn it off, you place the sphere on its back. Sure, they sound gimmicky, but at least the speakers will keep your desktop tidy since they’re USB-powered. And in addition to your computer, they’ll also connect to any device with a 3.5mm audio-out. – Louis Ramirez
