We covered Bluestacks App Player when it was first released in alpha form last year; an interesting application that lets you run Android apps on the Windows desktop. A beta’s just been released that allows for — so they claim — some 450,000 apps to run.
It’s already the wizard behind the ‘Windows + Android’ curtain in the Viewsonic ViewPad 10 Pro. And soon Bluestacks, a new package that virtualises Android on Windows 7, may be available to anyone who wants to drop it onto their Windows PC. If you’re an eager beaver you can sign up for the Alpha.
