You know what everybody loves for Christmas? Movies. TV shows. DVDs and Blu-rays. So it might be a good idea to head over to JB Hi-Fi to take advantage of the 20 per cent off Blu-ray and DVD sale happening until next Wednesday. [JB Hi-Fi]
Given George Lucas’ penchant for adding crap to the original Star Wars films, you may have been holding off on buying the complete collection on Blu-ray until they became a bit more affordable. Thankfully, Amazon has delivered, with the complete box set of all three films, plus the three adventures in fantasy horror (how else do you explain Jar Jar Binks?), costing less than $70 delivered, which is better than any local sale.
Chances are high by now that if you’re keen, you’ve already snapped up Star Wars on Blu-Ray. But Christmas is just around the corner, and you might know somebody who’d love it as a Christmas present. Big W’s doing a weekend promotion on the complete box set for $78; we’ve seen it at this kind of price before, but not for a while (thanks to Mark for pointing this one out!) [Big W]
It’s hard to get excited over a new digital photo frame, but the addition of HDMI in Fujifilm’s FinePix REAL 3D V3 turns it into something more than just a last minute gift idea.
Now this is some sensible bundling; the good Star Wars movies and a Sony Blu-ray player to play them on for $148 at Big W. It’s a catalogue special that doesn’t appear to be being offered online, but at least it’s Jar-Jar free. The only downside is that the split packs of the Star Wars movies don’t come with all the nifty extra features. [Big W via OzBargain]
