RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie confirmed to Reuters that the company is planning a “next-generation” touch device, and that the original Storm was a “huge success.” Well, at least “in terms of sales and adoption.”

Dutch website Tweakers, a RIM sales manager said that, as rumoured, a followup to the underwhelming BlackBerry Storm will be arriving at the end of this year, or the beginning of next.
According to SlashGear, the BlackBerry Storm 2 is supposed to hit Verizon this coming September and it is rumoured to have Wi-Fi.

Another week brings yet another BlackBerry Storm OS leak. This time the version is 4.7.0.90 for the 9530 and 9500—a version CrackBerry claims is “a step in the right direction.”
At least that’s what the CrackBerry folks who got their hands on the latest Storm OS seem to think anyway. Install at your own risk (unofficial update), but the changes appear to be pretty solid.
