BlackBerry’s out today with a new handset and, more importantly, a brand new operating system with at least one killer app that might put RIM back on top. So what is BlackBerry 6, exactly?
The Blackberry Torch 9800, a sleek slider with both a touchscreen and a full keyboard, is the first device to come loaded with RIM’s revamped BlackBerry 6 OS. But one interesting bit from the press release suggests that BlackBerry’s older touchscreen devices won’t get the update:

The looks we’ve gotten so far at BlackBerry OS 6 have been impressive enough, but it looks like the real crown jewel might be that WebKit browser. Here’s how it stacked up recently against iOS 4 and Android 2.1.

When the last BlackBerry OS 6 preview hit, I was so distracted by all that dancing I could barely make out any new features. This latest preview gives a cleaner look, though. And so far, I like what I see.
