The last time I saw a Yamaha Blu-ray player, it was almost a generation behind everything else on the market, making it a very hard sell. The company doesn’t have the same problem with their latest player though, with their upcoming A1000 player offering 3D playback, HDMI 1.4 and support for YouTube XL.
