It’s been a long wait from the launch of the Atrix locally to actually getting an upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread. At first, it was promised for September, but that date came and went. Now, it’s finally available.
Over at Ausdroid, they’ve noticed that Telstra’s official support site for Android devices lists the Motorola Atrix as currently “undergoing testing” for its official Gingerbread release, due in September. Gingerbread’s been available for US Atrix owners since June, which actually means Telstra’s starting to speed up its approval processes — if it can indeed meet that September deadline.
