Apple’s retail stores have been a key driver of the company’s fortunes in recent years, whether you’re a fan of the company or not. It’s been known for a while that the next store to open would be in Sydney’s north at Hornsby, and the company’s just revealed that it’ll be opening this Saturday at 10am. Not that they’d want you to notice it, though
The Apple Store — the internet version — isn’t loading for any of us. Totally down. In fact, it’s confirmed by downforeveryoneorjustme.com. And we have no clue why it’s down. We’re not expecting any refreshes or new products. So hmm. Hmm.
With an official investigation now underway, the party may soon be over for those expertly crafted fake Apple Stores over in China.
Is there nowhere Apple will not expand its line of silvery wood-accented retail stores? Glass cubes in Manhattan. Multi-story facades on Boylston in Boston. And now, piling on New York again, Apple is set to descend on Grand Central.

Good news Apple fans of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Apple’s 11th Aussie store opens its doors at 9am on July 23, and will include all things Jobsian, including a Genius Bar. Chances are you’ll also get to try OS X Lion on the new MacBook Air, too.
