iPhone Dev Team Releases Open Source Unlock Software

The source being open, on the other hand, makes it a lot easier for Apple to see what kind of vulnerabilities there are in their code so they can patch it up quicker for the next firmware release. iPhone Dev Team to Open Source Free Unlock
9:49PM Jesus Diaz | In an effort to keep up with changes from Apple at a faster speed, the iPhone Dev Team is considering open sourcing AnySIM, the free unlocking solution for the iPhone. Talking to Gizmodo, iPhone Dev Team member Sam said that this move could “open a lot of possibilities for the future”, mainly in terms of the speed of the updates and avoiding sloppy and possibly dangerous binary patches. New anySim Gets Bugs Ironed Out, Now Integrated with Installer.app
3:26AM Jesus Diaz | For those who haven’t unlocked your iPhone or had problems doing so, there’s a new revision of the free unlock software for the iPhone: anySim v1.02 fixes a lot of bugs and speeds up the process. You can download the program from here but as an added bonus you can use Installer.app. You just have to click here and it will add it to your graphic Installer, so no further transfers will be required.
