LG’s study of 4060 Australians across the country suggests that it’s the preferred brand of 3D LCD TV against models from Samsung and Sony. It’s also expanding its Smart TV range, adding Red Bull TV to its services.
Sony, Samsung, Panasonic and 3D technology specialist Xpand 3D are moving forward quickly with plans to create a single format for active shutter 3D glasses, with many more TV makers joining the standards licensing scheme.
Not that keen on 3D TVs? Panasonic’s hoping to tempt buyers with its first 3D Home Theatre Projector instead, the Full HD capable PT-AE7000E.
I’m no great fan of 3D, but part of that comes down to the annoyance of wearing 3D glasses over my own specs. TechRadar reports that Sony’s latest 3D effort continues the trend towards glasses-free 3D, with a lenticular sheet that goes over the display screen of the Vaio S Series notebooks.

LG’s Dual Play capability allows two player split screen gaming without the split screen. We’ve seen this kind of thing before with Sony’s Playstation TV, but not on this scale.
