Is 4.7 Inches Too Big For A Sony Ericsson 3D Gaming Phone?

Phone sizes keep creeping up, to the point where I worry using a 10.1-inch tablet will soon become the norm. If rumours are correct, Sony Ericsson’s thinking big with their first glasses-free 3D phone — a possible PlayStation phone, perhaps?

Ruin Phones And Your Eyesight With A 3D-Converting Black Box

Given the HTC Evo 3D actually hurt our poor reviewer Sam’s eyes, do you really want to put your own eyeballs through similar pain? Would you actually pay for that privilege? If so, the TOYin3D should be added to your sadist-wishlist.

A Dongle That Lets You Shoot 3D On Your iPhone

This Kickstarter project is actually a great idea, if you’ve been eyeing up LG and HTC’s 3D phones enviously. It works by basically adding another camera sensor to the iPhone, via the Sthreeam dongle you attach to the base.

The HTC Evo 3D is the first major 3D phone to hit these shores, but the price tag doesn’t reflect the bonus dimension; according to this leaked RadioShack flier, the handset will cost $US200 on-contract. And ship with a movie!

Augmented Reality Is Now 3D On LG’s Optimus 3D Phone

LG’s pinched Layar’s idea and made it 3D, though I suppose Wikitude is partly to blame/thank too. They’re calling it the world’s first 3D AR browser, and while it’ll only be available on LG’s Optimus 3D phone for starters, expect it to roll out onto other 3D handsets later, once LG gets some more off the production lines.

Would You Pay $US835 For LG’s Optimus 3D Phone?

You might have guessed that LG’s Optimus 3D smartphone would come bearing a steep price tag, but did you imagine it would be in the region of $US800? Dual-core processors and 3D cameras don’t come cheap, which is why UK online retailer Expansys has listed a £514.99 ($US835) price for it. Supposedly it hits shelves on April 25. Samsung: ‘No Need’ For 3D Phones, But Good Luck With Them Anyway

Samsung’s head of product management in its UK mobile division has gone on record as saying the company has no plans to battle rival LG in the 3D mobile phone sector. There’s no point or demand and it makes phones needlessly thicker. That’s the summary. Here are his actual words:

LG’s Optimus 3D Is A Doozy With Dual Cameras, Dual-Core Processor

It was hardly a secret, but today LG’s Optimus 3D was borne into a world where dual-core processors and dual cameras is the norm. Seriously, think back to your first mobile phone (a Nokia?), and consider how far we’ve come.

Sharp’s 003SH 3D Android phone doesn’t require any goofy glasses. But can it still deliver a satisfying 3D experience? Kat sure thought so, and this video seems to back her up.
