Following up on the unfortunate promise that he’d release all six Star Wars movies in three dimensions, George Lucas has settled on February 10th, 2012 for the premiere of a 3D Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Subsequent titles will be released once per year, in order, which means we’ve got some time before there’s anything you’d actually want to pay $US16 bucks to see again.
So maybe we haven’t fully embraced 3D, societally speaking. That’s not gonna stop movie studios one bit from promoting their eye-popping, mouth-watering gimmick over and over and over and over and… well, here’s the SUPERCUT.
Polaroid is looking to get a piece of the three-dimensional pie, inking a deal with 3D tech firm RealD. This means the next pair of 3D frames you pick up in a cinema could be Polaroid’s curved-lens design.
