It’s the most wonderful time of the year – that is, if you’re a fan of TV stars from across the DC/CW joining together to celebrate both holy matrimony and punching Nazis in the face. Because Crisis on Earth-X, the next big crossover for Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, is here, and we finally have our first good look at it.
All Images: The CW.
The CW has released 98 – ninety-eight! – pictures from the two-night extravaganza, which sees Barry and Iris’ wedding, a convenient gathering for every superhero we’ve seen on the CW’s DC shows so far, rudely interrupted by an invasion from Earth-X. That isn’t only the reality where Russell Tovey’s new superhero the Ray hails from, but a reality where the Nazis won World War II and still rule a dystopian empire, with the help of evil versions of Supergirl (called Overgirl), the Green Arrow (Dark Arrow) and the Flash (Dark Flash, and the only one not played by their main-Earth counterpart, but instead by Tom Cavanagh).
The new pictures give us a great look at Tovey in costume as the live-action version of the Ray (complete with a… let’s say questionable helmet), as well as a first look at Legends‘ latest recruit Zari in her superhero getup. But it also gives us some absolutely delightful pictures of the sheer madness that is evil Nazis and wedding drama.
Like, just look at Mick’s face while he’s waiting for this whole event to be over:
Or ponder as to why the hell Ollie brought his bow to a wedding no one expected to be invaded by alt-reality Nazis.
But mostly delight at just how good it is still to see all these heroes lined up and ready to battle in all their pleather glory:
Crisis on Earth-X airs over two nights of Arrow/Flash/Supergirl/Legends mania next week, starting from November 28 on FOX8. Head on to the link below to see many, many more pictures.
