Bill & Ted Face The Music

Keanu Reeves revealed the title of the third, long-awaited Bill & Ted movie over the weekend at New York Comic Con, but jokingly added that it could still take a while to finally come to fruition:

It’s a cautionary tale. They’re supposed to save the world. But when we see them, they haven’t saved the world, and they’re married and have kids. And they’re playing to nobody. But they have to write the song… and face the music! Hopefully we’ll make it before I’m 60.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Mark Hamill spoke to fans at New York Comic Con about the dearly missed Carrie Fisher’s role in The Last Jedi.

You’re going to really love her in [The Last Jedi]. I know they’re going to try and find a way to close her story in [Episode IX] that gives her the respect she deserves, because [Han Solo] was more prominent in [The Force Awakens], Luke’s a little more prominent in [The Last Jedi], and certainly Leia was meant to be more prominent in [Episode IX]. Worldwide, everyone feels that gap she left, but we all have to hang in there.

Anna

Helen Mirren, Cillian Murphy and Luke Evans have signed on to Luc Besson’s next action-thriller. No other details about the film have been made available, other than that newcomer Sasha Luss will play the titular “Anna”. [Variety]

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

A motion poster from the film’s Twitter has announced Kristen Bell and Will Arnett have joined the cast in undisclosed roles.

Spies in Disguise

Will Smith and Tom Holland have joined the voice cast of Fox Animation’s Spies in Disguise. According to Coming Soon, Will Smith will voice Lance Sterling, “the world’s most awesome spy” who must rely on his Q-like gadgeteer, Walter, when “events take an unexpected turn”. The film is based on the short Pigeon: Impossible by Lucas Martell.

Avengers: Infinity War

New promotional art used at a Disney Russia event gives us a new glimpse at Thanos as well as the new looks for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Black Widow. Note that the background of the massive standee in the third picture appears to be a mix of Infinity War characters and fallen figures in the MCU, given the presence of deceased characters such as Doctor Strange‘s Ancient One and Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Yondu.

Halloween

In an interview with Stereo Gum, John Carpenter revealed the new Halloween will take place in an “alternate reality” in which the sequels — and therefore, Laurie Strode’s involvement in Halloween II, H2O and Resurrection — never happened.

No. She talked to the director. Her part was written into the script and they had this idea — it’s kind of a… I don’t know how to describe it. It’s almost an alternative reality. It picks up after the first one and it pretends that none of the others were made. It’s gonna be fun. There’s a really talented director and it was well-written. I’m impressed.

Thor: Ragnarok

Thor catches up with the Hulk in a new clip.

Doctor Who

British Tabloid The Mirror has a new report about rumoured changes coming to Jodie Whittaker’s first season as the Doctor.

Unsurprisingly, the change in Time Lord will also bring with it a change in the TARDIS’ interior, which has more or less stayed the same since the current iteration was first introduced in “The Snowmen” back in 2012, aside from a few prop additions and lighting tweaks. The show will also give the Thirteenth Doctor a new sonic screwdriver, putting aside the newest iteration of the design Capaldi’s Doctor has only used for the last season.

Most interestingly, however, is the mention that the show itself will face a major change in format: An increase from 45 minute episodes to 60 minute ones. However, the change will mean there will be just 10 episodes a season now, not including the traditional Christmas special.

Runaways

During a round table at New York Comic Con, Ariella Brayer confirmed the team’s deinonychus, Old Lace, would be portrayed by a large puppet.

The puppet they made is the most incredible thing. It takes six puppeteers, it has so much detail. There’s literally one person pumping in air so you can see her inhale and exhale. You see her emotions. We don’t not make use of that. She’s around.

Legends of Tomorrow

While hyping season three’s Constantine appearance to THR — which promises both Damien Darhk and “hot sex” — showrunner Phil Klemmer confirmed the season’s “Big Bad” is a mysterious entity known only as Mallus:

As for the character of Constantine, we knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends. His appearance in episode 310 will involve the following: a revisiting of Arrow season four and the events following that season’s finale episode; a confrontation with this season’s Big Bad on Legends — the name we’ve only heard whispered until now, Mallus; some hot sex — something that has been in short supply on the Waverider thus far in season three; and Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough), because how can you do an episode about dark magic and not have Damien Darhk? More than anything, the episode promises to be scary as you know what — tonally it’s The Exorcist meets One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Demonic possession in a mental institution, what’s not to love?

Gotham

Here’s the season four sizzle reel from New York Comic Con, introducing Ra’s al Ghul’s “dog-boy”, Anubis.

Stranger Things

A new video posted to the show’s Twitter reveal the titles of the first six episodes of season two, several of which have been tweaked, or are missing all together, from an earlier reveal.

Chapter 1: Madmax

Chapter 2: Trick or Treat Freak

Chapter 3: The Pollywog

Chapter 4: Will the Wise

Chapter 5: Dig Dug

Chapter 6: The Spy

Chapter 7, 8, and 9: ???

Outlander

Starz has released suitably new key art for Jamie and Claire’s upcoming reunion. [Coming Soon]
