In Bios, Tom Hanks Will Create A Robot To Protect His Dog

Several Hollywood studios are currently vying for the rights to make Bios, a sci-fi film starring Tom Hanks and directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who directed the “Battle of the Bastards” Game of Thrones episode, among others.

According to Variety, Bios “follows a robot that lives on a post-apocalyptic earth. Built to protect the life of his dying creator’s beloved dog, it learns about love, friendship, and the meaning of human life.”

Hanks is the robot. No, I’m kidding. He’s the dog. Kidding again. Actually, he’s the creator.

Written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell, Bios is being shopped around Hollywood with a few studios currently interested. Once one bites, the hope is to shoot early next year. It certainly has a catchy pitch interesting setting, great star and underrated director.

Hopefully it works out.
