Let’s Hope Fox’s Paranormal Comedy Ghosted Ends Up Being Funnier Than Its First Trailer

Video: The first trailer for the Adam Scott-Craig Robinson paranormal comedy Ghosted is here, and despite the show’s great premise and cast, this initial glimpse of it is pretty disappointing.

Ghosted follows two men plucked from their normal lives (Robinson plays a sceptic, Scott a believer) who are tasked with saving the world from aliens. “This heroic group of underdogs will look into ‘unexplained’ activity in Los Angeles that often leads them to scary, thrilling, and hilarious places, as they attempt to uncover the truth and keep the Earth rotating on its axis for at least one more day,” says the official description.

Hopefully, when we get to see a full episode, it’s better, but this first look just feels too slapstick. Check it out yourself.

It’s a funny concept, Scott and Robinson rule, but that trailer… ugh. I hope I’m wrong. Ghosted premieres later this year on Fox in the US. An Australian broadcaster has not yet been announced.
