Retro Rogue One Ad Makes Us Nostalgic For VHS Tapes Again

Video: Remember VCRs? Your grandparents probably still have one in active rotation, but the rest of us long ago moved onto DVDs, maybe Blu-rays, but eventually just streaming and downloads. We didn’t think we missed movies on cassettes all that much, until this fake retro ad for Rogue One on VHS convinced us otherwise.

This fan-made film by Damien Kazan feels straight out of the ’80s, and reminds us of a time when we’d actually line up at a brick-and-mortar store to get our hands on a new movie before anyone else, instead of just clicking a link and then complaining about having to wait three minutes for it to download. Ah, the good old days.
