Optimus Prime Needs Redemption In Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers: The Last Knight

As is usual with Michael Bay’s versions of these films, there are very few shots of actual Transformers in this new, moody TV spot for Transformers: The Last Knight. So what does Optimus Prime need redemption for?

Friday the 13th

Identical twins are being sought to play the young Jason Voorhees in the new instalment. Could this explain how one “Jason” drowned in Crystal Lake, and another “Jason” took to living in the woods nearby?

[YOUNG JASON] — Male, Caucasian, 12 years old ONLY SEEKING IDENTICAL TWINS W/ TV AND FILM CREDITS. MUST BE UNDER 5 FOOT. NO EXCEPTIONS. Lengthy and awkward. A dark, ominous child, who has severe psychological issues. Must have a very electric and expressive face (you will be painting the scene with your facial expressions), as this role does not speak. YOUNG JASON will grow into the pyscho-killer JASON. SUPPORTING ROLE. MUST BE ATLANTA BASED.

Kong: Skull Island

The film’s monsters are inspired by the anime film Princess Mononoke, according to director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

The creatures are a big thing. Jurassic World obviously owns the dinosaur thing right now. If Kong is the God of this island, we wanted each of the creatures to feel like they’re individual gods of their own domain. Miyazaki and Princess Mononoke was actually a big reference in the way that the spirit creatures sort of have their own domains and fit within that. A big thing was trying to design creatures that felt realistic and could exist in an ecosystem that feels sort of wild and out there, and then also design things that simultaneously felt beautiful and horrifying at the same time. Where if you look at this giant spider or water buffalo, you stare at, a part of you says, ‘that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen’ and ‘oh my god, that’s going to kill me right now, I need to run for my life!

The LEGO Movie Sequel

Jurassic World 2

The movie will finally start filming soon, according to Bryce Dallas Howard.

I’m getting ready to go to [film] Jurassic [World 2] and I got contact lenses to block off my pupil, I’m leaving really soon. It’s awesome. Now we’re in the flow of things where everyone is talking every day and we’re gonna go put on a show!

[Heroic Hollywood]

And that filming will be in Wales, apparently, as well as England’s Pinewood Studios.

The Nun

Corin Hardy will direct The Conjuring 2 horror spinoff, its second after the evil puppet movie Annabelle.

A Cure for Wellness

Two new spots appeared during the Super Bowl, in which Dane DeHaan visits a spa that doesn’t seem very relaxing at all.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

After that great new TV spot yesterday, we have an even sweeter poster.

Justice League

Warner Bros. can’t stop releasing images of the League standing in places.

Supergirl

Kevin Sorbo will play a major villain in the series. Nothing is known about the character, but since the casting comes so soon after the announcement that Lois & Clark‘s Teri Hatcher would also appear as a villain, it’s not improbable to think they may be connected.

[TV Line]

Meanwhile, Supergirl underestimates a new suitor in this synopsis for episode 2×13, “Mr and Mrs Mxyzptlk”.

When Mr. Mxyzptlk (guest star Peter Gadiot), a magical imp, shows up on Earth and declares his love for Kara (Melissa Benoist), she tries to let him down easy, thinking him harmless. However, he decides it’s a challenge and starts to wreak havoc on National City. Mon-El (Chris Wood) has seen beings like Mr. Mxyzptlk on Daxam and knows how dangerous they can be. He and Kara argue over how to get rid of Mr. Mxyzptlk, further straining their relationship. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together.

Stranger Things

Matthew Modine tweeted this ominous, Matrix-inspired promo image for the upcoming season.

Street Sharks

Original voice actor Andrew Rannells is down for a reboot, should that happen:

Hell yeah! I always sort of felt like we were the poor man’s Ninja Turtles,” he said, “but I was happy to be a part of it.

This will almost certainly not happen.

The Walking Dead

There’s a lot of new footage in this lengthy promo for the midseason premiere. Looks like Carol’s getting back into the action, which will be welcome!

Not gonna lie; I did chuckle at The Walking Dead‘s Super Bowl spot.

Timeless

Here’s Supernatural‘s Misha Collins, who will be playing Prohibition agent Elliot Ness.

The Flash

Here’s a synopsis for episode 3×13, “Attack on Gorilla City”, which is so good I can barely stand it. Note: In the comics, Solovar is the good leader of Gorilla City, so either Grodd is playing the SuperSTARS or the show has made an intriguing change.

When Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs.

And here are a few pics from 3×12, “Untouchable”.

Legends of Tomorrow

Episode 2×16 is titled “Doomworld”. Gonna take a wild guess and say the Legion of Doom manage to rewrite reality… for a bit.

Here’s a synopsis for “Camelot/3000”, which is episode 12 of the season (and thus way before “Doomworld”).

The Legends continue their quest to hunt down the Spear of Destiny before the pieces fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. The Legends discover that pieces of the Spear are each being guarded in different time periods by members of the JSA. Their first stop is the future where they find Dr. Mid-Nite (guest star Kwesi Ameyaw) which eventually leads them to the past and King Arthur’s Camelot, where Stargirl (guest star Sarah Grey) is protecting her piece of the Spear. In order to protect the Spear shard from the now-evil Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), the Legends must join forces with the Knights of the Round Table.

Arrow

Here’s a synopsis for 5×14, “The Sin-Eater”, in which mercenary/assassin China White returns. But she’s not alone!

China White (guest star Kelly Hu), Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) and Liza Warner (guest star Rutina Wesley) break out of Iron Heights and head to Star City for revenge. Oliver (Stephen Amell) tries to bring in the newly formed girl gang but the ACU intervenes mid-fight. To his surprise, they are there to arrest the Green Arrow for the murder of Detective Malone. Meanwhile, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) feels responsible for the prison break after Warner tells him she heard about him working with Damien Darhk.

[Spoiler TV]

The 100

Here’s a synopsis for 4×04, “A Lie Guarded”.

Continued struggles with leadership and trust in Arkadia and Polis take violent turns while Abby (Paige Turco) leads a team to a distant location hoping to find answers.

[Spoiler TV]

Supernatural

….and a synopsis for 12×13, “Family Feud”.

When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) look into a murder at a museum, they learn a ghost from a merchant ship that sunk in 1723 may be at the heart of the mystery. After realising The Star was the same ship that Crowley’s (Mark A. Sheppard) son Gavin McLeod (guest star Theo Devaney) should have been aboard, they enlist help from Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) to track Gavin down. Kelly Kline (guest star Courtney Ford), still pregnant with Lucifer’s child, takes refuge with a demon after an angel attempts to kill her.

[Spoiler TV]

The Vampire Diaries

and a synopsis for 8×14, “It’s Been a Hell of a Ride”.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) must join forces against Cade (guest star Wolé Parks) in order to save Elena’s casket. Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice King) and Alaric (Matt Davis) deal with their daughters’ burgeoning magical powers.

[Spoiler TV]

Colony

…and yet another synopsis for 2×06, “Fallout”.

The Resistance reaches out to Katie; Will wants to help his wife bury her past; Maddie and Nolan visit the labour camp.

[Spoiler TV]

But hey, there are also pics from the episode!
