Twitter Is Finally Doing Live Video Right

Hey, guess what you can do on Twitter now? Broadcast live video right from the app.

Using Periscope, but not in the way you used to, you can now live-video tweet to your hearts content. Update your app!

Kayvon Beykpour, the CEO of Periscope said “We started Periscope because we wanted to give people the superpower to share live video with an audience. Bringing this capability directly into the Twitter app is an important step because it brings that superpower to the hundreds of millions of people who use Twitter.”

Beykpour said Twitter is already the place where people go to see what’s happening. With this update, anyone can now broadcast what’s happening live.

If you’re watching a live video, you can interact by commenting and sending hearts as well as the usual retweeting, liking and sharing.

The update is available on both iOS and Android right now.
