Way back in 2015, Jurassic World was one of the biggest films of the year. And one of the biggest news stories surrounding the film was the fact that the main character, Claire, wore high heels during the majority of it.
What did it say about the filmmaker’s views on women to have the character, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, running away from dinosaurs in such non-sensible shoes? The conversation was endless.
Now, over a year removed from the film, preparations for the sequel are underway and things are changing. The original film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, posted this on Twitter.
See you soon, @BryceDHoward pic.twitter.com/dSHIBRw8C0

That appears to be an inspiration board in the costume department of the sequel. And, as you can tell, Claire will most certainly not be wearing heels to run away from dinosaurs this time around. Yay for logic.
Jurassic World 2 is currently scheduled for release 22 June 2018 in the US. Trevorrow is co-writing and producing this time, with J.A. Bayona directing.
