Video: The choice to use Johnny Cash’s cover of “Hurt” for the Logan trailer certainly sent a message. This is going to be a very different superhero movie than what we’re used to. But what happens if you take that song, and the mournful mood it generates, and stretch it back into the previous films?
Darth Blender on YouTube has the answer. The team edited footage from every X-Men movie except Logan to their own version of Johnny Cash’s cover (which was originally a Nine Inch Nails song). The result is a sombre, but solid look back at the life of Logan, AKA Wolverine, as played by Hugh Jackman.
