Google’s AI might have beaten the world’s best human at Go. It’s probably also in the process of becoming the best Starcraft II player in the world.
But I take comfort in videos like this. Videos that remind me that we’re a ways off from the Robot Revolution. They’ll get us at some point, but today is not that day.
Today is a day for putting Google Home and Echo in the same room and setting them in an endless loop conversation. Today is a day to breathe easy. Because the robots haven’t beaten us yet.
(That being said, this sounds an awful lot like one of those pranks where you make two people repeat the same takeout order at each other on the phone.)
I take it back. Humanity is doomed.
