Justice League Could Feature Another Big DC Hero

New Game of Thones rumours tease another major reunion. New rumours speculate that one main Walking Dead star could soon leave the show. Plus, what’s to come in The Flash and Arrow, romance on the set of The Defenders and new footage from Passengers. To me, my spoilers!

Justice League Could Feature Another Big DC Hero

Justice League

The Wrap reports that another major hero could appear in the film in a “key sequence”, presumably in the style of Wonder Woman’s appearance in Batman v. Superman: Namely, Green Lantern. The twist? They don’t mention which Lantern it could be, whether it’s one of the many Lanterns of Earth or an alien member of the corps — just that one of the many heroes wielding a green power ring in DC’s universe will show up.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay says the first footage from the film will be released alongside the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on December 16 (December 15 in Australia).

Passengers

A new featurette on the film discusses the robots aboard the Homestead II and how they were brought to life… by guys acting as their appendages in skintight greenscreen suits.

Game of Thrones

Watchers on the Wall has an extensive new report catching up on several characters away from the Lannister/Targaryen conflict brewing in the south of Westeros next season. First, there are reports of a massive army of white walkers — 300 extras in total — being used for filming at Wolf Hill quarry in Belfast, indicating a major scene with the icy hordes next season.

Next up they report Jorah Mormont will head to Oldtown to find a cure for his greyscale, where he’ll meet Sam Tarly, who offers to aid him upon learning that Jorah is the son of Sam’s former Nights Watch Commander, Jeor.

Finally, and most intriguingly, the report claims that the previously-hinted Stark family reunion is happening: Sansa, Arya and Brann will all reunite in the next season. However, it’s not all happy news for the Starks — apparently their experiences since season one will lead to strife between Arya and Sansa about how to handle ruling Winterfell and their response to dealing with House Lannister, creating a split between the two sisters that Littlefinger hopes to exploit. There’s more at the link. [Watchers on the Wall]

The Walking Dead

A cryptic — and rapidly deleted — Facebook post from Carl actor Chandler Riggs’s father, William Riggs, confirmed that the actor has completed his seven-year contract with the show, worded in such a manner that it could imply that Chandler would not return. There’s always a chance a new contract which would cover seasons eight and beyond is in the works, so consider this more speculation than rumour for now. [Comicbook.com]

The Inhumans

James Gunn doesn’t think that the long-rumoured (mainly by Diesel himself) casting of Vin Diesel as Inhuman king Black Bolt will happen now that Inhumans has become a TV show. As he said in a Q&A on Facebook:

‘The Inhumans’ is going to be a TV show. Unless Vin wants to take a huge pay cut and sign up to do a TV show it seems unlikely.

Tales From the Crypt

The new show will adapt stories from the classic Tales from the Crypt comics published by EC Comics, according to M. Night Shyamalan:

There’s a bunch. I have a folder of my favourites, like my twenty or thirty favourites. I’m trying to remember them. I mean they’re so weird. There’s one where there’s a bewitching one, where an old lady bewitches and takes the wife, and the husband has to figure it out. He keeps the old lady in the closet but that’s really his wife now. They have swapped, you know? And he can’t kill this woman but she’s now a beautiful woman.

The Flash

Kevin Smith talks up his episode of the show, “Killer Frost”, as well as his upcoming episode of Supergirl:

“Killer Frost” is like a thriller The whole thing is like a [John] Grisham movie set in the world of comics with powers and shit.

Then the Supergirl episode, it’s very ambitious. It’s different from a lot of Supergirl episodes. We take a journey. It’s big, it’s a big episode. It turned out phenomenally. I was just working on the cut this morning, the first cut. The Flash is done, and it airs next week. Supergirl I got the first cut of, and it was 12 minutes [too] long. So I went through an easy first-pass… and am down five minutes, so there’s seven minutes left to cut out. It’s going to be tough because all the scenes are really good.

Meanwhile here’s a synopsis for Flash‘s Christmas-themed episode, “The Present”.

With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris . Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened.

Legends of Tomorrow

The Legion of Doom makes its play against the Legends in the synopsis for “The Chicago Way”.

When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realise that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest start John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it.

Arrow

Team Arrow is hunted by Prometheus in the synopsis for “What We Leave Behind”.

After Prometheus attacks Curtis (Echo Kellum), Oliver realises Prometheus knows all of Team Arrow’s secret identities and is planning to come for them one by one. Felicity and Detective Malone (guest star Tyler Ritter) discover a clue that links Prometheus to Oliver’s past.

The Defenders

Finally, new set pictures from filming hint at more romance developing for Luke Cage and Claire Temple in the show. Hopefully Jessica Jones isn’t around to watch!
