Every Single Episode Of Seinfeld Is Coming To Stan

Thanks to a deal with Sony Pictures Television, from 11 November all 180 episodes from all nine seasons of Seinfeld will be available for your binge-watching pleasure on Stan. They’ve been given a makeover, too – with remastering in widescreen and HD.

But that’s not all – the deal means Stan has also scored the exclusive rights for Preacher, Underground, and season four of Masters of Sex.

For those not familiar with the graphic novels (go read them, they are brilliant), Preacher is the story of an outlaw-turned-preacher who gains a mysterious power after he becomes possessed. Think dark comedy with supernatural themes and filled to the brim with action.

Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin are all part of the production team, and Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger, Agent Carter), Ruth Negga (Agents of S.H.I.E.LD., Misfits) and Joseph Gilgun (This is England, Misfits) star in the series.

Stan has the first-run exclusive rights to the show and will drop all episodes of season one at once in December. Season two will be fast-tracked in 2017, with episodes available the same day as they air on AMC in the U.S.

Stan has also scored the exclusive rights to season one of the historical drama Underground, which will start streaming in January 2017. Executive produced by John Legend Underground is about a group of escaping slaves. Created by Misha Green and Joe Pokaski, it stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell (True Blood, Parenthood), Aldis Hodge (Leverage, Straight Outta Compton), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SUV, OZ) and Australia’s Jessica De Gouw (Arrow, Deadline Gallipoli).

Season one ranked as WGN America’s most-watched original series. The second season will be fast-tracked on Stan in 2017, delivered on the same day as the U.S. premiere.

And finally, Stan will become the new first-run home of the multi-award winning series Masters of Sex, which airs on Showtime in the U.S.

The period drama chronicles the lives of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, who pioneered the science of human sexuality. Taking place over three decades, Masters of Sex was developed by Michelle Ashford and stars Michael Sheen (The Queen, The Twilight Saga, Frost/Nixon) and Lizzy Caplan (True Blood, Party Down, Mean Girls). Weekly from November, Stan will stream exclusive premiere episodes of the newest season, with all three previous seasons already available on the platform.

This deal is pretty exciting, and not just for Seinfeld fans – since it could potentially lead to more opportunities with Sony properties.
