Elektra’s fate was left under some pretty mysterious circumstances at the end of Daredevil season two, but we won’t have to wait for a third season to discover what happened to her. Elektra has been added to Netflix’s Defenders show as a series regular.
Announced through Entertainment Weekly, Elodie Yung will reprise her role as the sai-wielding assassin/Matt Murdock paramour in a regular starring role in the eight-part team-up series, practically proving that not even death can stop every character possible showing up on The Defenders.
But given Elektra’s mysterious fate at the hands of, well, the Hand when we last saw her, will she be friend or foe to Matt and his new allies? How’s she related to Sigourney Weaver‘s character, if that’s the case? Will we finally get answers about the big-arse hole from Daredevil season two? Is Sigourney Weaver playing the giant Daredevil hole?
I STILL NEED ANSWERS ABOUT THIS LITERAL GIANT PLOT HOLE
We’ll presumably find out soon enough, as The Defenders is still expected to air on Netflix in 2017.
