The 2016 US presidential election is getting more and more unhinged. We don’t need to tell you that. It’s getting to the candidates, too; Hillary Clinton says it makes her want to just unplug the internet. Either that, or watch a whole bunch of cat GIFs.
Speaking to a fundraiser in San Francisco, the Democratic nominee — and, let’s be honest, presumptive President-elect to anybody outside the US that is watching the race with a mix of horror and car-crash voyeurism — made the comment in reference to her opponent’s most recent remarks about women. “It makes you want to unplug the internet… or just look at cat GIFs.”
