Google Pixel, Daydream, Chromecast Ultra: AU Price And Release Date

Google just dropped a bunch of new goodies, and we’re making grabby hands at the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, Daydream View VR headset and Chromecast Ultra media streamer.

Here’s where you’ll be able to pick them up in Australia, and how much they will set you back.

Pixel and Pixel XL

Both models are available now for pre-order in Quite Black and Very Silver, launching on October 20.

The Pixel 32GB will cost $1079, and the 128GB $1229. The Pixel XL 32GB will be $1269, and the 128GB $1419.

Telstra is the exclusive launch partner on a bunch of Go Mobile plans (we will keep you update as we get more details), and you’ll be able to grab one outright through JB Hi-Fi.

Daydream View

Releasing in November, the Daydream View will cost Aussies $119.

Daydream View launches in a grey Slate finish to the super soft, breathable, microfibre fabric. That’s right, it’s fabric. More colours — Snow and Crimson — are on the way.

Chromecast Ultra

The latest Chromecast is coming “later this year”. The Ultra supports 4K Ultra HD — including HDR and Dolby Vision support.

It will retail for $99.

The Google Home unfortunately won’t be available in Australia anytime soon.
