The Air Hogs Star Wars X-wing vs. Death Star, Rebel Assault RC Drones set is probably our favourite of today’s reveals. It comes with two well-known vehicles from the Star Wars universe, an X-wing and the Death Star, that can both actually fly. You only get to take control of the X-wing, however, as the Death Star flies and hovers all by itself.

Both drones are equipped with infrared blasters, receivers, and LED status lights, and as the X-wing pilot you need to hit the Death Star three times to destroy the ultimate weapon before it successfully knocks you out of the sky. Like with the Death Star battle, each pilot is trying to knock the other ship out of the sky by being the first to score three infrared hits. But there’s more of a challenge here since both drones are being piloted by a pair of included wireless controllers — you’re not just trying to take down a stationary hovering opponent. The controllers also have a 60.96m range, so if you can find yourself a gymnasium or empty warehouse, you won’t spend half your time crashing into your home theatre and lamps.
