Saw producer Peter Block plans to reboot the series, with Nate Atkins working on a script.
Stan Winston sits on that Mount Rushmore of iconic filmmakers because of his creature designs, and that was his first directing effort. The creature’s great but the emotional story is wonderful as well. I got the rights to Pumpkinhead, and hooked up with a great young writer called Nate Atkins, and we developed our script, which is really solid.

Terminator
Genisys star Jai Courtney told Business Insider he thinks it’s time to stop making Terminator movies… but would be open to more if asked:
If it seems like an obvious movie to make then cool. But with ‘Terminator,’ who knows, it’s probably time to leave it where it is. But if they can get back in there and dig around and decide there is another film to make, I’ll take the call.

Meanwhile, Courtney also discusses how his version of Captain Boomerang shies away from being stereotypically Australian:
There’s a lot of this character that I wanted to leave where it was, you know what I mean? Not in a kind of dismissive way, there are just some characteristics to him that weren’t going to translate to a movie being made in 2016. I just wanted to know that it was handled in a way that I could be proud of it back home, as an Aussie as well — there are just some delicacies around that. The character in the comic books can be a little more stereotypical, and I was a little apprehensive to play into those cliches as an Aussie.
Star Trek: Discovery
Bryan Fuller tells Ain’t It Cool News that there’s already one major clue to discerning when the new show is set in Star Trek‘s prime timeline: the Discovery‘s registration number.
There’s a big clue in the number of the ship [NCC-1031] that indicates when we’re set.
The site speculates that as the registry is a smaller number than that given to the USS Enterprise in the original series — NCC-1701 — it could indicate, as many have speculated before, that Discovery is set in some of the earliest days of the franchise (but presumably after the Federation’s origin in Enterprise). On top of that, Fuller indicates it won’t be long before we hear more about Discovery, promising to “spoiler it up” at the show’s panel at the Television Critics Association’s summer tour next Wednesday, August 10.
Meanwhile, William Shatner is willing to appear on the show if he’s “useful” to the story — framing his answer with the belief that Leonard Nimoy was wasted in the reboot films, suggesting Shatner would want a larger role than that:
I said to [Nimoy], ‘You know you’re old when you go back in time and you’re still old.’ It was a cameo, and I thought, ‘That’s a waste of time. He’s so talented. Why didn’t they do something more with him?’ So that’s the way I feel about that.

The Flash
According to Grant Gustin, the show’s take on the Flashpoint comic event is not a permanent factor in season three, but it is one that will have lasting effect:
I think we can state Flashpoint does not last all season long. But there are permanent ramifications.
Agent of SHIELD
Here’s a wider synopsis for the show’s fourth season:
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organisation. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they have ever faced — an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.
In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organisation needed a new Director (Jason O’Mara) to be the face of the organisation. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack (Henry Simmons), and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. They have been trying to track down and capture Daisy (Chloe Bennet), aka Quake, who has gone rogue in an attempt to atone for sins from the past. But with the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new Director has no qualms about taking her down for good. Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) have taken a big step forward in their relationship. But with Simmons’ new promotion as Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology, Fitz, as well as her former team members, finds it hard to confide in or trust her since she’s now the Director’s confidant.
Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) will roar into the lives of Agent Coulson and the team as a junkyard mechanic who can turn on a dime into the terrifying Ghost Rider. Will Robbie be a friend or foe to S.H.I.E.L.D. — as well as the world, itself? Meanwhile, Fitz discovers that socially awkward genius and friend Dr. Radcliffe (John Hannah) has started putting the finishing touches on a new, secret invention.
