Now Anyone Can Buy A Hololens If They’re Rich

Previously, if you wanted Microsoft’s future face machine, also known as a Hololens, you had to sign up through a developer application process. Now, Microsoft is just selling them to anyone in the US and Canada who wants one for the low-low-low price of $US3000 ($3945).

This isn’t a new headset mind you. It’s still the same collection of glass, plastic and holographic processors that Microsoft debuted back in early 2015. Even if you don’t have an extra $4000 lying around, it’s still good news for anyone excited about the headset. Launching availability for the headset only a few months ago, Microsoft seems confident that they can start making this complicated piece of head gear at scale.

For now, this deal is only available in the US and Canada. Who knows how much Microsoft will charge Australia.
