Running? The Flash? Never mind.

DC’s film adaptation of The Flash has already found a new director in Rick Famuyiwa, who directed the acclaimed Dope, and now he may be pulling from the same camp in terms of rounding out the movie’s cast — specifically Kiersey Clemons, who is rumoured to be the top pick for The Flash‘s female lead role.
Logic and previous DC Comics adaptation track record would suggest that the “female lead” is likely the role of Iris West, intrepid journalist and friend to Barry Allen, AKA the Flash (Ezra Miller).
In addition to her breakout role in Dope, Clemons had also recently starred in Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising as well as the Amazon TV series Transparent.
While initial reports had some wondering if the sudden director swap would delay production, The Flash is still expected to begin filming this year. It is currently slated for a 2018 release.
