Viola Davis Wanted To Pepper Spray Jared Leto For His Suicide Squad Set BS

It seems like Viola Davis was the only sane person on the Suicide Squad set. Because after suffering through every weird and miserable thing that nightmare had to offer, she was in the mood to pepper spray Jared Leto right in his method-acting face. As would I.

Talking to E!, Davis talked about everyone in the cast getting “to be completely insane because all the characters are insane” and wanting to pull out the pepper spray in reaction to Leto sending the cast bullets (this was not the only weird and uncomfortable thing he sent them). Davis undersells how unnerving it must have been in the interview, saying, “It was a little worrisome. It made you a little bit nervous and I’m pretty tough. You know I got into a few fights when I was growing up… but it scared me a little bit.”

Davis said that she only met Leto after the movie finished filming because he was always in character on set, so “Before that I was only introduced to The Joker…and I almost had my pepper spray out. You know, ‘You remember that bullet you sent me?’”

Correct reaction. Also an entirely fair reaction to making Suicide Squad? “It got so crazy that there were times during filming that I had heart palpitations — not only heart palpitations but at one point I said, ‘Did I suffer from hearing loss?’”

God, we hope she didn’t. But we would not put anything past this film at this point.
