Black Panther
In the wake of multiple reports about casting for the film — which have added both Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan to the cast — new rumours are swirling that Force Awakens star John Boyega has joined the film. However, the evidence for Boyega’s arrival on Black Panther is far thinner than the reports concerning Nyong’o and Jordan.
Screen Rant has a good round up of the current evidence behind the rumour (circulating from the Best of Marvel twitter account and a comment from Heroic Hollywood), which essentially amounts to the fact that Boyega had previously expressed an interest in playing Black Panther, the fact that he and director Ryan Coogler interacted with each other on The Force Awakens‘ red carpet and that Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige recently followed the actor on Twitter. As exciting a rumour this is, for now, it’s simply that.
Star Wars Episode VIII
Oscar Isaac teases testing times ahead for Poe, Rey, Finn and the rest of the crew — including BB-8:
What happens now is the heroes get tested. All three of them get tested immensely. BB-8’s doing all right. BB-8 gets tested too! Everybody gets tested! It’s the dark second chapter, but not really dark.
Untitled Ridley Scott/Andy Weir Project
Ridley Scott and Simon Kinberg will once again team up with Andy Weir (author of The Martian) for an undisclosed film project. Weir will write the screenplay — which is currently unknown as to whether or not it’s sci-fi — while Kinberg and Scott will produce. [Deadline]
Suicide Squad
Jared Leto discusses his time filming the movie with Ellen:
I got the call and was invited to play the Joker, which was terrifying and exciting and an honour. It was really the most fun I’ve ever had on a film in my life; I had a blast. It was a real honour to get asked to play the part. These characters are so special to people and I have a lot of respect for that.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

Oscar Isaac talks Apocalypse in a new featurette.
Independence Day: Resurgence
The cast and crew discuss making the film (and how much they love Roland Emmerich) in a new featurette.
Arrow/Supergirl
Now that Supergirl has officially landed on the CW, Stephen Amell says that a crossover between it, Arrow and the other CW shows is practically inevitable:
Do bears ‘you know what’ in the woods? I think that it’s highly likely that, if you have four DC superhero properties on one network, that that is an opportunity that might not ever exist again, and certainly hasn’t ever existed in the history of television. So I expect them to do something.

Fox’s UK Facebook page has announced that it will stream the premiere of the horror comic adaptation May 20 (May 21, 6:00am AEST). The show premieres on Australian television June 4 at 8:30pm on FX Australia.
