Watch: Get A 360 Video Model’s-Eye View Of Fashion Week

Lenovo has partnered with designer Toni Maticevski during this year’s Fashion Festival, opening Australian Fashion Week’s first ever Resort showing with the first runway of the week at the Barangaroo Cutaway.

But the best part of this partnership? Maticevski sent 360-degree cameras down the runway, which were streaming live backstage, with the footage available to viewers following the show.

And for the first time — the view of the runway from the model’s perspective.

“It is all about innovation that enhances the collection,” Maticevski said. “The cameras give a unique perspective to the show as people are going to be able to view a 360-degree view of the runway, therefore bringing them a model’s perspective which introduces a new dimension to the show.”

As part of the show, Lenovo partnered with Twitter to stream the show direct from Periscope.
