Stan Lee Conquers Bollywood As His Superhero ‘Chakra The Invincible’ Gets A Live-Action Movie

Even after Stan Lee left Marvel he never stopped creating superheroes, and now one of those newer creations is coming to the big-screen. The animated superhero Chakra the Invincible is turning into a live-action Bollywood movie.

Co-created by Sharad Devarajan and Gotham Chopra, Chakra — real name Raju Rai — is a young superhero living in Mumbai who has a special techno-suit that allows him to access all his body’s chakras. The character premiered in an animated movie on Cartoon Network India in 2013.

The Chakra movie already has a director in Vikramaditya Motwane, who has directed… a bunch of movies you won’t necessarily recognise by name, but some of which have won awards. Here’s what Lee had to say about the director and the film, courtesy of Hitfix:

I’m a fan of Bollywood films and am really excited about launching Chakra the Invincible as my first Bollywood superhero movie. Vikramaditya is an amazingly talented filmmaker who I have no doubt can make the Chakra film a massive hit in India and around the world. I only hope he remembers to include my cameo!

The idea of Stan Lee making a cameo in a Bollywood superhero film delights me to no end. Please let there be dancing involved.
