Professional Fingerboarder Is A Real Job

Video: Remember those tiny Tech Deck skateboards you use to play with in school? Mike Schneider, and hundreds of thousands of others, never stopped. In fact, at the age of 23, Schneider has managed to make a career out of tiny skateboards with his own company that manufactures professional-grade fingerboards.

There are even fingerboarding competitions that professionals can compete in, and while not as publicised as the State of Origin, the sport has apparently risen to become far more than just a hobby for some of these athletes. And at $US70 ($94) for a miniature FlatFace Fingerboards deck, it’s easy to see how Schneider has turned this into a full-time job.
